A Large Walnut Coffer, Dower Chest

This is a very good looking and fine quality Coffer, it has been constructed using fine matched veneers, it has feather banded inlay on the front and on the top and it stands on hefty ogee feet
The interior of the Coffer has been lined with a Times newspaper dating from 1818, it has fine heavy quality brass work, top facing hinges, escutcheon and carrying handles
This is a large superb looking piece with an interesting lining, it is in in good condition no worm or any other defects

The Chest measures 40’’ wide x 25’’ deep and stands 30’’ high
