This very large Arts & Crafts desk is made of solid oak with bevel-framed panelling to the sides and the back. The front has an arrangement of two slides and five drawers, one of them an adjustable filing cabinet, all with shaped wooden handles and beneath a top of green leatherette or vinyl. It stands on six shaped wooden legs and dates to c.1920. The drawer linings are made of beech and the bottoms are of ply.

It measures 167cm wide, 88.5cm deep and 77cm high. The kneehole is 69cm wide and 62cm high.

It is in very good condition with a couple of minor marks to the top. At one stage in its life the two back feet were removed, but these have been seamlessly replaced.
