Untouched 18th Century George III Period Figured Mahogany Bureau
This charming late 18th-century George III period finely figured mahogany bureau showcases exquisite craftsmanship and timeless appeal. The fall front with brass escutcheon and original lock, opens to reveal a well-organized fitted interior, consisting of a central door with three long drawers to either side. This leads down to an arrangement of drawers, the bureau is fitted with four long graduated drawers, all adorned with elegant original brass swan neck handles and escutcheons. The piece stands proudly on bracket feet, the sides in solid mahogany, the back in original oak boards, all contributing to its classic design. Made in England, circa 1790, this bureau bookcase boasts a rich mahogany colour and is in superb original condition.
The figured mahogany exhibits a rich, warm patina. This bureau is not only a testament to exceptional craftsmanship but also a stunning example of early Georgian design, making it an ideal piece for any refined interior.
