A good quality Cuban mahogany knee-hole desk. Raised on Ogee feet with six short drawers, one long drawer, knee-hole cupboard, shaped frieze drawer and brushing slide all lined in English oak. The top is of butterfly matched, beautifully figured mahogany. In very good condition and with a good colour and waxed patina. 870mm high, 900mm wide and 510mm deep. English. Circa 1760 W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries. Now under the stewardship of Mark and his wife, Louise, we take pride in maintaining the high standards which William set more than 50 years ago.
