This piece of Brynmawr antique furniture, which has an unfolding swivel top and a partitioned drawer, could function as either a bedside cabinet or a work box. Made of panelled oak, with square-sectioned wooden handles, it has a fall front cupboard beneath the drawer. It is an unusual price that may have been a special commission and it dates to the 1930s.

It measures 47cm square on top when closed and 91.5cm wide when opened. It stands 71cm high.

It is in good and original condition with a few knocks and scratches in keeping with a useful life.
