19thC Elm Diary Serving Bowl - Treen
A rare 19thC pole lathe turned elm bowl. A superb item, very hard to come by and simply gorgeous. These bowls were used to serve (in the centre of the table) the popular Welsh staple tatws llaeth, a dish of potatoes cooked in milk, sometimes buttermilk with added leeks and bacon.
It is in beautiful condition and with exceptional colour and surface. With just a small number of historic worm holes to the base to mention. A better example would be hard to come by.
It measures 20cm diameter by 8cm high.
Postage to mainland UK for this item is £10
Our preferred payment method is by Bank Transfer - BACS, or we are happy to take payment by Cash or Cheque and by PayPal for smaller value items.
