This is a set of three beautiful Chinese watercolour paintings of butterflies on pith, mounted in one frame, which date from the 19th century. Each of the butterfly paintings is very well executed in vibrant gouache colours. Two of them measure 7.5 cms by 9.5 cms and one measures 7.5 cms by 12 cms. They are very neatly mounted and set within a very attractive gilded bamboo style frame which sets off the butterflies really well. The overall size of the frame is 52cms by 24 cms.
