An absolutely glorious and hard to find 1950s Stratton powder compact which features a lustrous enamel lid with a splendid butterfly. The compact is unused and comes with all the original features, as shown on the images. There isn't any enamel loss or fading. All loose face powder and standard size (67 mm diameter) powder pans will fit this compact. For example: CCUK, Miss Beauty, Rimmel & Max Factor. The brass is lacquered and so this compact will retain its prepossessing appearance and never need to be cleaned or develop tarnish. The catches and hinges work exactly as they should. The mirror gives an excellent clear reflection. The mirror frame is signed 'STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND'. The base is decorated with stars. Measures 3" and weighs 93.4 grams.
