Musical powder boxes / compacts musical 1950s Mascot novelty handbag in splendid working order powder compact pocket mirror.

An adorable musical Mascot in excellent condition. It is made to resemble a handbag. Totally gorgeous & it plays very well.

Mascot were known for making top quality compacts in the 1950s & this one is no exception. Superbly made with a good mirror. A case of excellent quality. The whole compact is beautiful. The lid is decorated with an engine turned design of tiny diamond shapes & pretty flowers. The handle is pretty, ornate & functional. On tilting the handle slightly backwards the lid opens to reveal a good mirror that gives an excellent reflection. The mirror bezel is marked " MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN." The inner lid is very attractive having a design of wavy & parallel lines. It is signed " Mascot ASB."
The original sifter & puff are in place & they are in good condition. The case that holds the musical is decorated with musical notes.
