Quality Writing Bureau Bookcase - Fine Condition - c1940
A quality fall front bureau bookcase of useful proportions with splendid fitted interior presented in excellent condition.
Rising from classic bracket feet, through a three drawer chest, into the main writing desk bureau and topped with a fine glazed display cabinet.
Superb flame veneer is matched throughout the front delivering a stunning effect. The drawer fronts benefit from solid brass batwing backplate handles.
The fall front provides a useful working area height of 71cm (28") and generous working space.
The serpentine fitted interior presents four drawers flanking a door enclosed centre section with letter slot cubbies.
The upper display bookcase shows further indications of quality with arch formed glazing and a pair of adjustable shelves. A correct crown moulding completes the style.
The whole has much to offer and will make a wonderful addition to any home. The piece functions excellently and is suitable for daily use if so desired. With robust yet elegant construction, gorgeous styling and fine condition.
