William IV Rosewood Chaise Longue (c.1840)
This is a superb quality antique English William IV upholstered rosewood cabriole leg chaise longue, circa 1840 - 1850.

This is a superb quality antique English William IV upholstered rosewood cabriole leg chaise longue, circa 1840 - 1850. The chaise boasts (when facing) a right hand arm, a raised sweeping back with carved cartouches to the centre. The back frame sweeps down finishing in a carving frame. The front of the chaise has a serpentine shape, likewise the end of the chaise. The chaise is deep buttoned and has recently been re-upholstered with a rich old rose pink and gold brocade material. The chaise features the original brass castors, original splayed legs to the back and original cabriole legs to the front. The frame and legs are constructed of solid rosewood. The chaise can seat up to 3 persons.

Condition Report
In excellent condition - the arms and back of the couch are firm. The chaise has been re-upholstered with the upholstery you see now. There are no marks, tears or rips to the upholstery, it is very clean. The braiding is in excellent condition and is firmly attached to the couch. The springs in the seat are firm and in good condition. Free of wood worm, solid in joint and ready to use.

UK Returns & Refunds
A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. The buyer is required to cover the cost of return transit – the collection cost is the same as the delivery cost. You will be given a refund (excluding the delivery and collection cost) as long as the item is returned in the same condition. If you decide to return the item at the point of delivery, you will only pay for the delivery cost. We will collect the item using our specialist Furniture Delivery Company to avoid any damage. We will not accept returns via a courier service due to experience of damaged items in transit. This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.

For UK buyers, we will accept cash on collection or delivery cheque, credit card, BACS (free bank to bank transfer). Payment is requested within 5 days of the sale.
