William IV Burr Walnut Fitted Wardrobe
A fantastic William IV/early Victorian wardrobe of super quality and dating to circa 1830. Featuring exceptionally well figured burr walnut, scrolling corbels and square corners to the cornice and plinth. With two rounded fielded panelled doors opening to reveal a fitted interior with a combination of sliding trays, graduated drawers and a full length 21in deep hanging section.
In very good condition, there is a small piece of moulding missing off the bottom of the right door and the handle is chipped. Some drying lines to right side and minor marks consistent with age and use. A handle to the inside is mishaped and the fabric lining has been removed.
For ease of transporting and moving this wardrobe separates into five sections with the cornice lifting off allowing the left and right main sections to each be lifted off the plinth base.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos as we are limited in the number we can upload.
The overall dimensions at the largest points are approximately
Width - 64in (162.5cm)
Depth - 28 ¼in (72cm)
Height - 86 ¾in (220.5cm)
Internal depth - 21in (53cm)
For moving this item divides into five sections (cornice, left hanging section, right hanging section and plinth).
Ref: 0493 Please appreciate all our items are antique and as such may have minor scratches, marks, knocks, shrinkage splits signs of old woodworm, and minor losses to veneer, which combine with care and years of polishing to create an individual character and patina. We cannot describe each marks separately and therefore suggest you do take the time to request extra photos. We do offer a 14 day money back guarantee for UK purchases but cannot refund the return shipping cost.
