Circa 1920, mahogany blanket box/kist by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh. The rectangular top, with carved lifting handles on the fore edge, opens to reveal a deep box with cast brass hinges and retaining arm. Stands on typical stylish Whytock and Reid carved feet. Excellent colour and condition.
