A beautifully original 19th century box settle from a farmhouse in Harlech, North Wales in oak, pine and fruitwood. The settle has beautiful colour and well-patinated paint finish to the front and side where it has stood by an open fire for many years. The condition is just wonderful with just one old ‘shake’ to the fruitwood seat and a repair to one hinge (not visible), although it retains the original hinges. The lids in the seat raise revealing storage space beneath.
