Vintage compact by Volupte,U.S.A.Ladies gold hand double lid powder compact, complete with internal mirror. The upper hand is intricately decorated with a white enamel pattern of “lace” with a floral mitt or fingerless glove and also a multicoloured enamel bangle to the wrist. The opposite side is in a brilliant gilt finish to the hand only. The outer hinge and clasp work perfectly, snaps shut, springs open Powder compartment is empty and totally spotless, with the inner lid and clasp working perfectly also, with “Volupte” over “U.S.A.” in centre of lid within the case, under where the powder pack is inserted, is also “”C” within a circle for Copywright, and also “PAT.NO. 120.347”. The total, is in excellent condition, with only a soft, aged patina from handling over the years, and slight “foxing” to edge of interior mirror, no other damage worth describing, and negligible gilt deterioration. Dimensions are approx..: 11.5cm long x 5.5cm wide x 2cm deep.
