A truly magnificent piece of classic Victorian antique furniture. This large, serpentine chest of drawers, featuring four large flamed veneered drawers which are all oak lined, is still fitted with all of its original locks and key. The drawers are flanked by two half columns, and this chest of drawers stands on small turned mahogany feet. The item is in lovely condition for its age, with just a small amount of everyday wear and tear. There is a small expansion crack to one side this will happen over a period of time due to the effects of modern central heating. There are also a few small woodworm holes to the rear, but this is well and truly dead and only to the soft back boards of this piece of furniture. This chest is an extremely rare shape, and would be ideal to complement any period bedroom antique furniture, or on its own.
