A Nineteenth century miniature french daybed in walnut, on six cabriole legs with carved back, all of a good warm colour. The whole is curved with serpentine edges on every side and the central panel of the back is carved with a stylised floral motif with radiating hairbells. The bed is upholstered in a powder blue floral fabric. The use of this item is probably as a novelty foot stool, but whatever it is a rare and unusual item. C.1850
