Victorian Mahogany Scottish Chest of Drawers
This attractive Scottish chest dates from the late nineteenth century. It is constructed from mahogany, some solid, some veneered over solid wood. The chest is bow-fronted and consists of two small drawers over three longer drawers. The chest has a twist column to either side of the front and the drawers have attractive ebony inlay. The drawers retain their decorative ring handles. They also retain their locks, but please note that no keys are present.
Condition: Overall this handsome piece is in usuable condition, but does have some wear consistent with age and use and would benefit from some tlc. There is some scuffing and wear to the woodwork as might be expected, which is heavy in places, and the piece is overall a little faded. The drawer runners are worn and would benefit from some attention. There is some knocking, chipping and loss to the woodwork and veneers in places, and losses to the cock-beading. No key is present for the locks.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
Overall - 96.5cm high, 112cm wide, 56cm deep (to maximums). Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
