This is a Late 19th Century mahogany apothecary cabinet of 21 drawers. It has a moulded solid mahogany top over three rows of seven drawers standing on a plinth base. Each drawer is provided with a turned mahogany knob and is dovetail jointed both at the front and back. Each drawer is numbered as is each slot in the cabinet and in most cases the drawer and slot numbers match. There are a few drawers with different numbers to those in the slots which must have come from companion cabinets but as all the drawers are identical in size it doesn't really matter.

Condition: This cabinet has in recent years been fully restored (presumably at some considerable cost) since nearly all the drawer fronts have required repairs sustained from a hard life as a working cabinet in an apothecary shop. The close-up shot in the final photograph is a good example of some of the restoration work on drawer corners and edges. Please contact us if you would like to view additional photographs.

He can deliver to most places on mainland England and Wales and, depending on where he is on his schedule, it may take a few days or up to 4 weeks. Other couriers are available for Scotland and North Wales or where a shorter time frame is required. Purchases can also be collected in person from the Tunbridge Wells area in SE England.
