Circa 1850, an early Victorian circular rosewood snap top breakfast table. It has a cross banded apron and moulded edge. Beneath this there is a small apron and beading behind it. The top has been veneered on a solid mahogany carcass. The original under carriage has a double brass clasp where the table top is connected to the block. There is a small lifting arm on the block to lock the table in the open position. The table has a carved, turned and fluted tapering top section. Beneath this there is a circular rosewood bezel, with 3 well carved cabriole legs shaped at the top with acanthus leaves.
Size 75cm high x 123cm diameter.
