Victorian Carved Oak Ladies Pedestal Desk
The is a small one piece desk is made through out in solid Oak the front is attractively carved. There are seven drawers in all, each of which has a carved front, the long drawer has a basket of fruit and nuts forming the handle
The top of the desk has its original green tooled leather and a deeply carved moulded edge which matches the carving on the pedestal bases
The desk is in good condition for its age, the leather has a delightful shabby patina with a few stains and chips at the edges, but should you prefer, I can have this renewed in the colour of you choice, this is an unusual piece to come across and it would work very well in a study or in fact any room
The desk is 40” long, 22” deep and 29” high and the knee hole is 16” wide and 22” high
