Victorian Aesthetic Glazed Pier Display Cabinet
Antique quality Victorian (C1880) aesthetic inlaid glazed pier display cabinet or small bookcase.
Lovely ebonized finish with ormolu brass mounts and decoration.
A great decorative piece of nice quality...even has line inlay to the front edges of the shelves.
This is a lovely item, with a nice look together with loads of charm and character.
Solid, with no loose joints.
Fixed shelves, but they can be fairly easily moved (supports are only pinned on).
No woodworm.
We have a key.
Overall maximum dimensions 77cmW x 35cmD x 108cmH.
Shelves each 68cmW x 24.5cmD (space above each shelf...bottom 25cm, mid 23cm, top 37cm (reduced entry height)).
Historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections and alterations as is always the way and to be expected. Some minor finish/veneer imperfections as one would expect. Section of brass decoration missing from the bottom of the glazed door (barely noticeable). The velour lining is old, faded, worn and marked.
Please note that this item is large and heavy. Please make sure before buying that it will fit in and can be maneuvered into the room that it is intended for. The customer will need to provide a strong able bodied person for our driver to assist with carrying.
