Unusual Oak Chest
A Rare Geo II Oak "Norfolk" Chest of unusual form with graduated drawers surrounding a cupboard inlaid with a compass star, all banded with burr oak. Original handles, but wires replaced with pommels. Later feet. Circa 1730. This form of small chest with cupboard surrounded by drawers is traditionally associated with East Anglia, in particular Norfolk.
