Unusual Antique Painted Pine Shelving
Unusual Antique Painted Pine Shelving
This tall and elegant, 19th century French antique wall shelving was originally used in a chemist shop to display ointment jars and glass apothecary jars.
Traditionally made in solid yellow pine and finished in the original, period paint finish, which has, over the years turned into an almost crocodile skin like finish.
Sometimes this type of antique shelving was used behind bars to house glasses and spirit bottles.
This French antique wall shelving features numerous, bobbin turned columns with seven display shelves.
A nice added extra is the original, rectangular plate glass mirror, which is mottled giving it a historic look.
In very good, solid condition, perfect for a kitchen.
