Unused Boxed Enamel Stratton 'Empress' Compact
This compact was one of the luxury range of Stratton powder compacts & it is easy to see why. The lid is decorated with high quality enamel the makers called 'Indian Print'. The whole compact is superb & unused with all the original accessories. Probably the best Stratton 'Lipstick Empress' powder compact you are likely to see for sale. The mirror of the this powder compact is is excellent. The original mirror sticker is in place giving instructions about how to activate the automatic opening inner lid - 'To open inner door: press mirror lid gently back, door springs open. To shut: bring mirror lid forward and press door down. A Stratton Patent.' The inner lid is decorated with horizontal lines & the " Compact - in - Hand " logo . The original box, felt lined pouch, puff, sifter, instruction leaflet & Stratton Lipstick Holder instruction leaflet are present. The base is no less luxurious having the very beautiful " Curled Feathers " design.
