Mid 20th century, diminutive gilded brass and tortoise shell bijouterie table. The shaped top with its bevelled edge glass is contained within a ribbed brass bezel. The flat section is tortoiseshell and the quarter sections on each are of shaped leaves. The top is hinged and inside is lined in silk. It has a working lock. The body of the table is bombe shaped and the base has foliate casting continuing all around in the Rococo style. The whole table stands on 4 elegant cast brass feet and finishing in a cabriole leg.
