A very elegant three legged stool, I'll leave it to you to decide whether or not it was a milking stool, I don't think so, it's tall enough for seating in the home. It has a lovely sycamore top and ash legs, there has been at some time a little action from worm but totally extinct when I bought it, treated again for peace of mind. In fact the exit holes are so old that they had filled naturally with the dust of daily life. The dark mark at the bottom of the back leg in the second picture is actually a patch of the original bark which has been turned with the leg itself. A pretty and useful addition to any collection of country antique furniture.
