A wonderful pair of solid oak cabinetmaker's tool cabinets in solid oak. The cabinets are made of solid oak and each is elaborately decorated with carving of mythological beasts and flowers and each cabinet has a carved label in the pediment one reads 'Joiners and carvers tools' and the other 'Fitters and turners tools. The cabinets are elaborately outfitted inside with holders and drawers, sadly all of the tools have been removed. The cabinet bases are independent pieces obviously made by the same person and presumably to act as bases but they are smaller in size than the cabinets. The whole are beautifully made and of superb quality with a good patina and a really exceptional one off pair. C.1900
