Superb Antique Zanzibar Chest
A really decorative hardwood Zanzibar chest with beautiful brass detail dating from around 1870.
The chest is in great condition with lovely pierced brass panels to the front and top and extensive brass studding in attractive designs. This has its original hasp and cast brass spear hinges in good working order as well as the original lock and lift design solid brass handles to the ends. The interior has its original lidded candle box with a secret compartment beneath.
The chest is in good solid condition ready for use and is a practical size measuring 42 cms high 94 cms by wide by 40 cms deep.
