Circa 1880. A late Victorian solid oak two-part open bookcase. The top with a classic moulded cornice with a simple frieze, the top section which tapers from top to bottom, with reeding on the facing, has two adjustable shelves, beneath is a fixed third shelf, supported on a turned balustrade with scratch carving brackets and quarter brackets on each side, The bottom section with 2 divisions, with a moulded fore-edge and two adjustable shelves, resting on a moulded enclosed plinth, the back boards on the top and the bottom and tongued and grooved.
