Stunning Early Welsh Oak Chest of Drawers
A beautiful Welsh oak chest of drawers, dating from c1800 to 1820, purchased from the Cambrian mountains in mid Wales. A stunning example in outstanding original condition and of desirable medium size.
Displaying wonderful and highly sought after nutty and warm oak colour and stunning patina throughout, with rare and beautifully shaped aprons and bracket, feet this is an example of country craftsmanship at its best. In gorgeous condition with just a couple of age related marks and the lovely handles being historic replacements.
The beautiful early wide planks all display the most stunning grain and medullary rays, really adding to its character. The top is lovely and level with gorgeous colour, all drawers are clean and fresh and run smoothly and true and it stands sturdy and level, suitable for daily use, family home or holiday cottage and practical for multiple locations around the house.
It measures:
Height 105cm. Width of top 114cm. Depth 53cm
