18th.c. Welsh oak box settle or hall bench c.1750. Just 46″ wide. Four fielded panels to the back with pegged rails and mullions between rear stiles shaped so as angle the backrest for comfort. Over simple shaped arms on straight front stiles. Hinged seat with storage space below, ideal for boots and shoes etc. Earlier repairs and restorations, the seat and base of this settle have been previously rebuilt. All in solid oak with quality iron hinges. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
