Fine quality late 19th.c. walnut hall bench c.1890. Just 36" wide in solid walnut throughout. Very much in the manner of the celebrated English cabinet makers Shoolbread. Turned spindles, crisp reeded detail and unusual half roundels to the sides. Single piece seat (height 17") with a moulded edge and shaped apron below. Raised on shaped legs joined with stretchers to all four sides for strength. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
