Small Late 18thC Ash & Pine Box Settle
A Pretty late 18th/early 19th Century Welsh pine Box Settle of rare and desirable small proportions. Constructed form quality pine around a wonderfully grained ash frame. In nice condition throughout with superb nutty colour and pleasant proportions, the gently sloped back offering comfortable seating with the addition of practical storage.
With characterful historic repairs to the front made necessary from years of use, and superb wear to the seat make this settle a superb looking and more comfortable piece. With just a small number of historic worm holes it is strong and stable and suitable for daily use.
A really pretty item of country cottage antique furniture.
