Delightful little George III oak bureau c.1810. Unusual small size, just 28½" wide at the feet, one of the smallest we have ever come across. Open the fall to reveal a 26" x 18" desk (height 26") with the original fitted interior of five pigeon holes and three small drawers. Three larger drawers of graduated height below the desk. With solid oak drawer fronts and period brass handles with an attractive oak leaf motif to the backplates. Solid oak sides, thumb moulded base trim and raised on shaped bracket feet at the front and sides. Some obvious old ink marks to the interior. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, key supplied.
