A delightful George III period oak box / chest.

The box is of lovely proportions and has fantastic colour. The box has chamfered edges, bracket feet, brass escutcheon and historically replaced hinges the small holes from the original iron loop hinges remain present. The lid needs a little wiggle when closing to align and fully close but otherwise the box remains in a very good condition throughout.

A really good looking piece.
