Silver Pocket Watch John Forrest Albert chain 1899
A fine Quality Solid Silver Pocket Watch By Famous London Maker John Forrest with full hallmarks for Chester 1899
In excellent age condition working fine with a strong tick
Heavy Quality silver case with engine turned engraving and plain cartouche on the back of the watch
Both case hinges are fine no spilts or repairs, patterned edged around the watch
Strong top bow with original fixing
Watch Glass clear without any cracks or chips
White Enamel dial ,black numerals steel coloured hands , small 60 second dial , small hairline cracks close to 5 o'clock but is hardly noticeable
The Name John Forrest London , Chronometer makers to the Admiralty stamped on the dial
The watch is English lever movement all fine very clean working well and keeping good time, takes are full wind
With watch key , time is set by placing watch key over the centre of hand from the front
With Brass inner movement protection cover
Attached Silver double Albert chain, medium size links not to heavy , each link, T-Bar and fastener chip all hallmarked c1900
Very Nice Silver fob with Gold centre again c1900 in date , each chain length 8", Watch Size 55mm Diameter
John Forrest was one of London's finest watchmakers during this period in time and made for the British Admiralty
