Stunning! A collector's dream! This beautiful, substantial Silver & Enamel powder compact is in fabulou condition. The enamelled painted picture to the front is exquisite. Framed with deep green, marble style enamel. Elaborately hand engraved in a gorgeous Rococo style design of flowers to the top, sides and base. The clasps and hinges are in excellent order, close fitting and secure. The framed deeply bevelled mirror is clear and in excellent order. Wonderfully scalloped edged, Italian workmanship at its finest, with a good weight, this is a quality piece, it is stamped to the mirror frame (which is 'spring' loaded and can be removed for cleaning. A beautiful example impossible to find these rare pieces in this sort of condition.
