Silver Antique Open Face Pocket Watch London 1899
Silver Antique Open Face Pocket Watch London 1899
This is a silver antique open-face pocket watch, made in London, England in 1899. The watch is attached to an elegant silver linked chain with a two-coloured bloodstone fob making it the perfect gift or collector’s item. It has just come back from my watchmaker and is in great working condition.
DIAL: The unsigned white enamel dial has black Roman numerals and outer minute divisions. It has blued hands and a subsidiary second’s dial at the six.
MOVEMENT: The high-grade anchor movement, with a 3/4 plate, has blued screws and works well. However, we cannot guarantee the complete accuracy of any antique pocket watch. The movement is numbered 14015. It is protected by a silver dust cover.
CASE: The watch lies in a silver open-face case with an engine-turned finish and a monogram-free cartouche. The inner side of the case is hallmarked silver/London 1899 and numbered 14017-560. The case maker is ‘JJS’
