Offered for sale is this exquisite set of eight oak dining chairs in excellent condition consisting of six single chairs and two carvers. The chairs are late Victorian dating to about 1890 and are one of the finest sets of this style I have seen. They have makers plates on the underside " S.J.Waring & Sons Ltd, Manufacturers by special appointment to the Queen. Deansgate, Manchester and also at Bold St., Liverpool and 181 Oxford Street, London. They are a superb quality set of chairs with all of the extra detail you only ever see on a top quality chair. They have superb original patination with extensive turning, moulding and carving all crisply executed and have to be seen to be appreciated. The seats and back have been reupholstered in a neutral cream and gold fabric. The set of eight antique oak chairs are of superior quality in excellent showroom condition having been cleaned, revived, waxed and reupholstered. Over the past 30 years we have sold over a thousand sets of chairs along with hundreds of dining tables to satisfied customers.
