Revolving Breakfast / Serving Dish - Mappin & Webb

A smart and very elegant silver plated Breakfast / Chafing dish by the top-notch silversmith, Mappin and Webb of London and Sheffield fully marked on the underside.
The dish stand on four very grand legs with paw feet and there is a key on a chain which keeps the lid firmly in place while closed. The lid rolls over the underside to reveal the original fitted interior with one tray with drainer and another removable tray under that. Below the two trays is where hot water (or indeed crushed ice for cold dishes) is placed to keep the food hot.
What is nice about this dish is it's size being smaller than most. Dating to the late Victorian era, dating to c.1890/1900. Excellent condition ready for use spanning 10 3/4" handle to handle x 6 3/4" foot to foot x 7 1/2" tall to top of domed lid.
