Regency Yew Wood Tea Caddy.
A gorgeous Yew wood tea caddy in a classic Regency shaped box with Boxwood stringing and pippy Yew wood.
Glorious rich colour with wonderful burr patterning to all sides.
Each piece of Yew wood is surrounded by fine timber Boxwood inlays, lifting this caddy from the rest.
Regency 1820.
Diamond-shaped keyhole escutcheon to front.
Two compartment interior, with lift up lids in pippy Yew wood and matching button lifting knobs.
Paper lining to underside of top.
Seated on ball feet with a pair of quality lifting handles to the sides.
Foil to inside compartments, been replaced at some point, has some age.
Well maintained polish/varnish, no major damage or losses to timbers can be seen.
An exceptional quality piece, and a superb example of craftsmanship.
Collector's condition will stand out in any home or executive office.
