Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian flame mahogany bow front side table, constructed in the style of the Georgian / Regency period, circa 1910 - 1920, displaying a lovely rich colour, in excellent original condition.

Description:
Here is a fine quality antique English Edwardian flame mahogany bow front side table, constructed in the style of the Georgian / Regency period, circa 1910 - 1920, displaying a lovely rich colour, in excellent original condition. The table features a single plank bow front top, with a reeded edge and an upstand to the rear, to prevent items from falling off the back. Below, is a single flush working drawer. The drawer displays a cock beaded front, as well as retaining the original brass round handles & escutcheons. The oak-lined drawer is constructed with hand dovetail joints and boasts quarter beading to the interior (a sign of quality). The drawer runs smoothly and closes flush to the frame. Further below, the table features a reeded frieze. The table is raised on four straight tapering block legs. The table features the original top and backboard to the rear the frame has been constructed in the traditional joined manner for that period. This mahogany side table is solid in joint and ready to use.
This item features a lovely rich mahogany colour. As it boasts the original polish, it has a fantastic colour and patination this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received.
This Regency mahogany side table would look superb in a variety of rooms from the living room to the hallway, or useful as a writing table. Condition Report:
This mahogany side table is in excellent original condition, considering its age. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges, top and inside of drawer, but nothing significant considering the age of the item (see photos). The table has been French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination is of an excellent standard. The drawer is in good working order and closes flush to the frame. The drawer retains the original round brass handles and escutcheons. There are no breaks to the frame or legs. This table is well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.
