Rare Novelty Mechanical Desk or Table Bell - Pig Antique Novelty Figural %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A rare find, this fabulous figural desk bell was cast in brass or polished bronze in the form of a pig with a quality screwed construction. The mechanical bell can be would from the underside and then rung either by the snout or tail.

I believe German in origin, signed on one of the legs BGM and dating to the late nineteenth century, c.1890. The pig retains it's original two glass eyes.

Excellent working condition, measuring 6 1/4" x 2 1/2" x 3 1/4" tall.
