Rare Nickel Railway Pocket Watch With Locomotive on Dial

You are bidding on a rare Nickel railway watch with a locomotive inked in green on the dial.

Dial: The white enamel dial has green Arabic numerals with outer minute divisions. The dial has blued hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at the six. It has a locomotive inked in green on the dial, which is unusual as the image is usually on the rear of the pocket watch. To set the time, there is a lever at the two.

Movement: The fifteen jewels anchor lever escapement movement has a plain cock with polished steel regulator and a club foot lever escapement with compensation balance wheel. The pocket watch is in excellent working condition, however, we cannot guarantee accuracy for an antique pocket watch. The movement is signed "New York Standard Watch Co" and numbered 135802.

Case: This pocket watch lies in a nice open-face nickel case with a monogrammed free finish. The inner side of the case is numbered 667519 and signed “Star W.C. Co.”
