A rare solid Chinese Rosewood Cylinder Writing Table, Circa 1870. This Anglo Chinese piece is made in solid rosewood throughout having a galleried top with decorative open fret work decoration. Beneath is a cylinder top which rolls back to reveal a selection of drawers and compartments. Having a full length drawer beneath, The whole raised on inset panelled tapering legs. The table is finished in show wood to all 4 sides and has panelled sides with a wonderful profile. Retaining all of the original locks and handles, excellent colour and lustre throughout. Anglo Chinese antique furniture was made in China for the English market and this is a fantastic and rare example.
