a9440 Swiss made walnut bed with arched cane headboard

An extremely good quality and unusual Swiss made Superking size cane bed with low foot end...made by TH Scharers of Bern...still looking into this to cinfirm, but likely to be circa 1920

The bed is beautifully made, using walnut and carved with great detail throughout.
The cane to the headboard is the original and is in good condition

The footboard of the bed is low which is an unusual feature, making it ideal for those not wanting footboards and also if a room isn`t so large, you nwouldn`t want a prominant footboard.

We supply the bed with a supporting box base that will sit on top of the frame work and is located in place - a standard 180cm x 200cm mattress will then sit directly on top of that.

Dimensions The headboard is 54`` high / 137cm The maximum width is 72`` / 183cm
