Philips 9" 1930's Paper Mache Globe
A Philips 9" terrestrial paper mache globe on the original turned ebonised timber foot c.1930's. Broad ring turned plinth foot with urn shaped pedestal above and the original ebonised finish. Crescent shaped solid polished brass axis sat above with the degrees marked to one side. The original 9" paper mache globe sat in the axis in superb clear condition with no losses excellent colour and patination. Bears the makers label for George Philips, Fleet Street, London. A rare size and presented in excellent original condition. Measures 9.5" wide x 16" high x 8" diameter at the base.
