Pair of Victorian Walnut Marquetry Inlaid Pier Cabinets


Circa 1860, pair of mid Victorian figured walnut, marquetry-inlaid pier cabinets. The rectangular tops have mirror matched figured veneers over a frieze with marquetry inlay in exotic woods. They have inlaid doors with shaped glazing and ormolu mounts, and are flanked by marquetry inlaid pilasters with caryatid ormolu mounts. Both are supported on a moulded base and shaped enclosed plinth.
Size 110 cm high x 83 cm wide x 31 cm deep.
