When these chests were originally made, the cabinetmaker chose the finest materials before constructing them in his workshops. Price would never have come into consideration, just the quality the product would end as. At this time Great Britain was the wealthiest nation in the world, hence fine items were made to furnish the wealthy professional and entrepreneurs of the time interiors.
Each chest is fitted 4 graduated drawers on a plinth base with rounded corners. The drawers with the original turned solid walnut pull handles and the delicate banding.
